VALLEJO MARINA MANAGER

tRAVIS LUND

As a Michigan native, I am a lifelong sailor, powerboater, and sailboat racing enthusiast. As a kid, my very first job was cutting the grass for the local marina where I progressed as a high school student to running a travel lift and manning the transient and fuel docks. In college, I competed on Michigan State University’s sailing team. I also took a year to work on freighters in the Great Lakes, and after a few years managing land-based businesses, I eventually moved to California, where I have lived for over 15 years, making my career in the maritime industry.

In addition, I have worked as a sailing instructor, race professional, and charter captain. I’ve also managed charter bases for the Moorings and Sunsail. Most recently, I was the executive director for a large-scale, sailing-based non-profit in San Francisco, where I spent six years developing programs for underserved children and expanding access to water for adults while maintaining a fleet of over 100 vessels.

My wife and I reside in Pinole, CA. I own an Etchells sailboat and most recently competed in the World Championships in San Francisco Bay in 2018. Both my wife and I share a passion for music and actively perform when time permits.
